Subject: Checking your meter readings
Dear resident,
Energy meters belonging to Liander are installed in your property. Liander is your network operator. We are working to develop an energy network that meets everyone’s needs – now and in the future. Liander checks the meter readings of all connections once every three years. You can read more about this in this letter.
It is important that all electricity and gas meters are working correctly
Every three years we check whether your meter readings tally with the information in our records. In this way we make sure that your energy meter is still working correctly. As a network operator we are obliged to carry out this check.
Take photos of your meter readings:
We perform the check digitally. That means we need photos of your meter readings. Using the photos you pass on to us, we check the readings of your electricity and/or gas meter. We do not therefore need to visit your property in person. You should pass on your meter readings to us as follows:
- Go to www.liander.nl/meterstand-doorgeven.
- Use your login code to log in.
- You can also log in by scanning the QR code in your letter.
- These login details are valid until the date in your letter.
Your energy supplier is responsible for your annual statement
You also pass on your meter readings to your energy supplier each year. Your energy supplier uses this information to produce your annual statement. You should continue to provide your readings to your energy supplier in the same way. The check we are performing is separate from this.
